How I Learned to Write Naval History Books
In 1990 I came down to Plymouth which has huge tradition as a naval base. There were hundreds if not thousands of war veterans alive at that time and I would go and meet people either living in Plymouth or who came back to pay their respects for lost comrades. It was an incredible period of meeting the warspike veterans and others so it was quite an amazing period of working when could combine talking with what is available from archives. have a lot of these firsthand accounts from sailors how did you get these accounts?
