The Troika and the Bolsheviks

Bolsheviks had won in october 19 17 because nobody was willing to fight for kerensky government, and so a handful of guys with machine guns could pull it off. The agent sent to germany to organize and lead the revolution reported that the situation was far worse than they had been led to believe. Those forces loyal to the government probably outnumbered them 20 to one. One small communist group in hamburg did wind up trying to move forward, but they were quickly and easily crushed. It turned out to be just another miserable failure.
