Maternal age of 19 years or less, and black race were associated with lower 18 to 36 month visit rates. Having both parents as caregivers higher maternal education and Spanish as a primary language were associated with higher visit rates. There also was a correlation between an early high risk infant visits so if the babies were seen at one of those four to eight month visits they were much more likely to complete that visit. Those born small for gestational age were actually less likely to complete the clinic visit independent of gestational age.
