The Value of Animatorics in Movies
I think CGI has obviously got so much better since I was a kid. But there are movies now that rely so heavily on CGI that you assume the whole thing must have been shot against a green screen and it just looks wrong. And then when you go back, I showed my kids Jurassic Park for the first time recently and it looks incredible. Yeah, there's obviously a role for it because it feels much more natural to me. There tends to be a flow back and forth between wanting things to be more media driven, which tends to cost less than real animatronics.
