Paul Saffo: One of my favorite phrases to quote from this is man desires to be loved and to be lovely. He says that in Smith's time, it was sort of like wanting to be respected or appreciated. And what I love about the phrase, he likes to say aim high; try to be better tomorrow than you are today.Saffo: There's something inside us that wants more than just fun, more than just pleasure. But for many people, that's not enough.
