The Importance of Interpreting the Magisterium

Many early Christians assumed that Christ would be coming back in his lifetime. Eventually, God revealed that that was not the case and there's going to be a thousand years or more period before the end of the world. This is an illustration of how an assumption that a biblical author has may not be true.
