The Disadvantages of Working as a Woman in Film in Lebanon
There is a vibrant creative scene here in Lebanon but the country's also experiencing great, great difficulties. The question is can you produce art when everything is collapsing? Can you produce art after an explosion like this that killed so many people and harmed and psychologically did a lot of trauma? Now maybe people are starting to go back to their lives because you have to also know what you're going to do with yourself. Struggle economically, there's no budget for example to make films, it's very difficult. So you have to find other ways to produce your films."
