Apple is very deliberate about changing the look of its products. The always on display was a big complaint with Apple's watch series four and five. i'm used to mechanical watches, where you never have to worry as long as there's enough light to see the dial. I've always been a little self conscious about looking like i'm checking the time,. that it's like v signal that you're bored.
