Why You Shouldn't Distinguish Rewards
The idea of rewards when you talk about it in HR terms, they literally mean compensation. There is some equitability factor there where if people are compensated differently because one person performs the kind of function for the organization that they understand how to reward monetarily. It can be easy to buy a reward differentiation to the person that sort of led the most visible feature that went out the door and ignore the person that did all of the glue work that made it possible for that to happen in the first place.
