Is There a Difference Between Assumptions and Conditions?

i talked about how statistical methods have assumptions, and like bwhen we call them assumptions, it makes it hard to think about what you should do in a data analysis situation. And so i just suggested that we jost not call them assumptions and then, or call them conditions, or whatever. It doesn't fix everything, but many newer intro texts frame them as quo technical conditions for exactly the reasons you describe aand a an follopsis,. The word assumption means leap of faith; the word condition means check to make sure.
