A Look at the Experiences of Japanese Students at a Kenda University

In chapter three of your book, you discuss the ideas and experiences of japanese students at a kenda. Could you tell us a little about the backgrounds of these students and what it was like for them to study at this institution in manchukuo? For most of these Japanese students, attending kenda was a big adventure. They had to pass a very competitive entrance exam and interview exam. Only 150 students were admitted to form the first entering class out of more than seven thousand applications. The result of that was a unow wite variety of conceptions of panaganism.
