Writing Can Help You Feel Less Isolated
i think writing is a really easy, simple, inexpessible way to start moving some of that griase, some of that shame, outside of the body. And i was just seeing somebody doing a surfing therapy where they're literally working with women who express er r experiencing grief. They're thinking about waves of grief as they move through the ocean on a surf board. I think it's all the same mechanism in the body, right? You're just shifting that negative story or narrative or emotion or thought, and you're pushing it out of the body and on to the page.
