The Importance of a Second Unit in the NBA
Steve Kerr was very aggressive making sure in the early part of the game that Stefan Curry had enough rest. I think it was three stretches in the first half where Curry and Dremon were out at the same time. The idea of using a defense first guard to shut off the water for a second unit is a great idea. It's also a natural reason why Rick Carlisle, energizer bunny multiple ball handler second units should be even more used than they are right now.
