Nietzsche's Views on Buddhism
A lot is recorded about how much he read of Hinduism and Buddhism, unfortunately. Nietzsche considered Buddhism to be very much a profound philosophy that was on the right track. He saw Nirvana as essentially a way of escaping suffering. And he felt that ultimately Buddhism could slip into the ascetic lifestyle.
