The Legend of the Jersey Devil

During the 17 hundred and early 18 hundreds, the creature was only known as the leads devil. The story spread through south new jersey that mother leeds had spawne some sort of demon from her womb. But most of the stories were brushed off as just fantasy or folklore. And it almost stayed as folklore legend forever. Except the devil re emerged. It wasn't until the next century when the newspapers mentioned the leeds devil again, more than 100 years after its birth. As the story passed on from generation to generation, the dangerous creature eventually became known as the jersey devil.
