In old nature religions, the deity who represented the grain died and went to the underworld. The ritual that went along with that of that o n that holiday was grieving. You'd hear people crying for for the dead god, and they were crying for themselves too. It's like being in the greak place and getting to spring. But sometimes you're in summer and you can't wait to get to the place where you canlet lives exactly.
