The Effect of the 2013 Actors on Defamation Litigation

That means that libel is no longer the guarantee of each party spending a million pounds going to trial. Even if the TPI isn't itself dispositive, it sets up a platform for often inevitable settlement. English law has many more ways to deal with suspected abuse and does so with much greater regularity.
