The inter net doesn't make us mentally ill or psychotic but our brains already shut out conflicting evidence with the internet and we amplify this process on a daily basis as we're navigating information on line. And that's why we got to be careful. On top of that, the inter net itself is wired to make con mation by us even more likely, and potentially even hide information may dampen it.
