Concrete Canoes - How to Design Floating Concrete
It sounds like what what they usually are doing is they're taking things like foam which obviously floats and when they're building these cross sections or they're doing the molds they're actually inserting foam as a part of the construction. In some cases they're probably doing some kind of aircrete where they're infusing air or bubbles into the concrete to make it more porous and more floaty but that also makes it not as strong. They might be adding in like fiber materials to reinforce there's all kinds of things that they can do but there isn't a ton of guidance with like what they have to do.
