The Impact of Sanctions on Syria
There were sanctions after 1979 that had a lot to do with putting Syria on the state sponsor of terrorism list. What effect did those sanctions have on Syria versus then you have these sanctions in the early 2000s that got more serious? I think you talk about the sanctions, mostly targeting Syria's telecommunications system and also its ability to buy oil or to export oil to Europe. And then that's, you know, and I'm talking pre-2011 here. So like there's already sanctions on Syria for like 30 years before 2011.
