Hector De Brissach, I Will Be With You When I Am Dead
Hector de Brissach was killed in a duel by his cousin Andre. He vowed to haunt him when he died, saying: 'I will come between you and all that you hold fairest and dearest' But Hector took no heed of the threats; instead he went back to Paris where he kept himself aloof from the court. His death had made him rich but it also left him bitter about having been neglected as an old comrade.
