The Antagonism of Individualism Versus Collectivism
Heydoger says that whether you're talking about individual asserting themselves or the individual becoming part of the collective, these two things are antagonistic. This is not an argument about fact. It's an argument about authenticity and the authentic way of being. And he calls that out. On page 61, he describes this individualism versus the collectivism. Heideger: This antinomy opposes the need to be saved and theneed to be satisfied.
