Ep. 635: Jets: When Magnetic Fields Fling Things
Astronomy Cast

What's Larly Fascinating?
When we look back at the centre of our galaxy, even from where we are in the correct wave lengths of light, we see all these bubbles. In other cases, what we're seeing is the material pushed out by jets. And i'm guessing we something similar for galaxies with active nuclei, that we can see there how things have changed over time with them. Right now, light echoes are fairly common ish in the grand scheme of we've seen more than three. That's awesome to me, and what i can't wait for us to see the relics of supernova explosions in just the right form.
