The Importance of Having a Rule
The minute you change or undermine any rule, you start you so doubt about it. I lived through the institution of right turn on red lights here in the United States and particularly in Connecticut where I live. The minute that became legal to take a right turn at a red light, which it didn't used to be, people just decided red lights were completely fungible. Maybe these red lights, you know, aren't worth getting excited about at all.
