The Apostles Authority in Times of Crisis

In Matthew 23, Jesus gives us a template for understanding what's going to happen with the apostles. The Beatitudes in chapter 5 are going to echo here a lot of what's going on in chapter 23. And I think that's so important because the fifth speech is also going to connect with the first speech of Jesus, which is the Sermon on the Mount. So we're going to see the Sermons as a crucial parallel to this.
