The Hard Truth About Freedom
Even the limited freedom that we complain about constantly in the west, much of humanity has never experienced. There's no individualism in tripe and three agricultural societies. Freedom is a massive achievement. We have to say why it's so rare if we're going to fight for it and why people reject it. And I would argue people don't want free. If they want to freedom, it's relatively easy to get it if they're enough of us. The challenge is that people don't wants people that never want.
