In the 19 sixties, a naro scientist named wilder penfield was the first to discover that there's a map of the body in the brain. And so what this tells us is that its activity dependent and depending on the information streaming up into the brain, the brain changes its map of what's going on. When people lose limbs or when they gain extra sensory things, they can rewire the brain,. i suppose it's a better way o sayit, to adapt to that new kind of body that they have. The not having half a brain is obviously a dramatic example of this.
