In prehistory, under ancestral conditions, what are your options? You can't really get a safe abortion. A hunter-gatherer women do that sometimes. But at the very least it might be nine months of awkwardness and inconvenience. And then probably if you're not willing to kill the baby, two years of breastfeeding and then another 16, 20, 25 years of dependency. So it's a massive, massive cost. It's one that guys don't really resonate to. We didn't evolve to think about it, but. Right. This is women evolved to deal with these problems and to be very afraid of these problems because the consequences were extremely high for women.
