The Importance of Fat Oxidation

Lipid metabolism has a key role in regulating fat oxidation. We've known for a very long time that if you have more lipids, you increase lipid use. Carbohydrates compete within the mitochondria and will back inhibit or slow down the movement of lipids into the mitochondria. If I turn everything on, which kind of happens with exercise, carbohydrates they compete, and then they slow down Lipid metabolism.
