Gnosis Chain is a new chain that uses proof-of-state consensus. It can be used to pass messages from one chain to the other in bidirectional fashion. The idea of unidirectional messaging, I think is actually quite powerful already. There's also use cases like we haven't even thought of that would be really cool.
