The Importance of Dosing Intermittently Versus Continuous Infusion
A paper, an in vitro model paper from Johann Lutin looked at CEPT hazard at investors pseudomonas comparing intermittent dosing versus continuous infusion. And what it showed is that four times the MIC with continuous infusion was associated with a greater decrease in bacterial load than standard 60% time above the MIC. We're even now incorporating PK sampling and TDM perhaps into these trials. Joe mentioned how newer antibiotics are coming to the market a little more robustly with more intensive studies.
