HHS vs DKA?
In contrast to DKA, which tends to be a more abrupt and acute onset, the HHS patients usually have a more protracted indolent course of disease where they're getting worse over the course of several days or even sometimes weeks. So this story sounds a bit more like HHS than DKA. And that'll become clear why in a moment.
