Pippin speaks with a Scottish accent. He's from another family of hobbits that live in another area which has a different geographical nature. It just made Pippin kind of unique among the other hobbits because he's from a different part of the Shire. But also that sort of Scottish accent gives him more old world charm certainly in the eyes of an international audience or the ears in this case. Mary, the other hobbit, and this actor comes from Stockport near Manchester and again he keeps his normal accent but you can hear the local accent.
