In the near term, it is mostly a lifeboat, partly because it does take time to learn about it. I think that we get to some tipping point where there are a sufficient number of people in society who understand it and rest of them just kind of take it on faith. Gold turned out to have a very fatal flaw, which is that it's physical. But Bitcoin safeguards an enormous part of our freedom against government control.
