Theodicy and the Book of Job

The Book of Job explores the age-old question, why do bad things happen to good people? In Exodus, Moses asks God to show his ways so that he might know God better. Talmudic tradition teaches that there are 50 levels to understanding God. It was theodicy that stood in the way of Moses attaining the highest level of understanding God.
