The Effects of External Factors on Extinction

We're in the process of rampant biodiversity loss and full-blown extinction, mostly externally induced. There are no other species that radically induce ecological devastation and extinction across all ecosystems. And partly, we have the ability to migrate much better than other species. We could devastate an environment and then rather than have our population drop, move to another environment,. devastate it, become apex predators in every environment and outstrip all of them. That's a unique human capacity.
