The FCA's Stress Test for Mortgage Lenders
Since the financial crisis in 2007-2008, lending rules and requirements on mortgage lenders have tightened quite considerably. More than three quarters of a million borrowers are in difficulties or risk falling into difficulties according to FCA. If anybody is struggling with their mortgage, then if they speak to the lender, the lender will develop a tailored support package for them. The important thing is to speak to your lender early so that a suitable solution can be developed.
