The novel is like a montage. It's like a cinem tic text in lots of ways. There isn't a linear structure, but there is a coherence. There is an interconnection. We have lots of jumps between the different experiences. And we see the different characters and what they're doing at the different hours of the day. That forms a a really key structuring technique.
