How to Avoid Your Role in a Family
Cartman: Each role has an egoic payoff for the victim they avoid responsibility and become dependent. He says people tend to assume a primary role in the triangle but will often shift and take turns taking on different roles with each other. The rescuer may get upset with the persecutor and take on a persecutor role and attack them placing them in the victim role, he says. Cartman: If you can try not to be in those roles your family can come together and be healthy.
