Cicero's Philosophy

I very much see Cicero as a symbol of the old Rome, the old republic. So by that extension was his death inevitable because he would always remind people of what Rome was. And it's hard to say what would have happened with Octavian and Cicero but obviously with Antony he was just so vocally opposed to Antony that that really caused some problems for him.
