Vander Black - What's It All About?
Vander black is a brand name for a range of materials that have exceptional performance. The thing that makes them all stand out is that they uniformly absorb light from all angles. So when you paint something with them, they have this three dimension to two dimen a effect that they look flat. When we were exhibiting at farberar show and the press showed a lot of interestand it was quite crazy. We had about 400 inquiries from artists. And that comes to a deeper question about our relationship with the colour black. You know, throughout history, from the time we were in caves at night, hiding from animals that weure trying to hunt us, painting pictures on the wall with charcoal
