The Importance of Consistency in Formative Assessment
I think consistency is important in terms of asking questions if you're going to use them as an assessment tool. But then having that flexibility to be able to be a responsive practitioner if you've got those individual gaps. So I really like that about the flexibility where it's appropriate and then the consistency is key, brilliant. Well, Dylan Williams written a lot about questioning with formative assessment. He says teachers should plan it, ask it, be quiet. And that's obviously about referring to the wait time, the think time, and teachers not answering the question themselves.
