Aristotle's Principle of Friendship

Friendship is about giving, and that's like the characteristic act of a friend towards a friend is to give. So friends have to give one another, and they act together, they do things together, and he says that requires living together. Now, I don't think he means like under the same roof, but they have to live together. If they live on the other side of the country and you only see them a few times, it makes it harder to live it out as a friendship. You see what I mean?
