Radiometric Dating - Is Rate a Good Answer?
One answer is that those issues are unimportant and the earth is really old. The other answer would be, well, it looks like there's been an accelerated decay and the Earth is young. Either way doesn't strike me as terribly entirely satisfying at this point because of the heat problem. So these are questions we're going to want to address on future episodes as we start talking to some of the actual individuals in the rape project.
