You just have to be in the market. My definition of being in market is cold calling or users breaking things you didn't even know they were going to do. The first thing that I learned was that being mission driven is one of the most motivating things. If you feel like you belong to something bigger than yourself, if you're a part of a story that's bigger than any individual, that's really, really motivating. And then the second is how to cold call. Being really, really good at cold calling,. Maybe the single most productive business skill you can have is to take a list and to go down that list and to turn some number of people on that list into believers.
