The Effects of a Boze on Trachial Intubation in Emergency Departments

A boze is a thin plastic rod that is passed into the trachea, over which the anditrachial tube is inserted. The study included more than 11 hundred critically ill adults undergoing traculintibation in seven emergency departments and eight intensive carrionts across the us. Half of the patients were randomly assigned to the use of a boge and the other half an ender tracial tube with stilet. Successful intimation on the first attempt occurred in 80 % in the booje group and 83% in the stilet group. In terms of the secondary outcome, 11 per cent of patients in the booje group experienced severe hypoxemia
