Fiction Writing Made Easy

CHAPTER

How to Write a Good Synopsis

If you know your story's content genre, you're going to be able to get a really good idea of how your story needs to unfold. So for example, if you're writing a mystery set in space, there's going to be a crime in the beginning. The middle is all about tracking down those clues and parsing out the true clues from the false clues. And then finally, step five is to brainstorm what happens in the beginning, middle and end of your story. I recommend a one to two cents log line and a two to three paragraph synopsis.
