Chachescu's Death Star

The parliamentary palace that Chachescu had built is the third largest building on the planet by volume. It used 35,000 tons of crystal and one million cubic meters of marble. When you have a 3,000 pound carpet, that's a big building. The earthquake had not destroyed enough of the city to make room for this palace.
