Paul Gaskoin's Emotions in Turin
Gaskoin's emotions were very close to the surface in Turin. He was a footballing genius, but also had this emotional element that no one else had. The first three penalty takers score, but then Stuart Piers misses. And all of a sudden his old friend Chris Waddell has to score, or that's it. Paul realises no one wants to vilify the team. They're being celebrated. Isn't it depressing? That's what he thought he was going to come back to. All he wants is to go back to Newcastle and lick his wounds.
