Rat Mothers Don't Lick Their Kids a Lot

Good rat mothers lick their babies a lot, bad ones don't. Scientists at columbia University tried to figure out which was the good one. They counted all the licks in 40 litters of rats over six days. Good mam's would have been licking about 16-20 children per litter. Bad mams would be licking just two or three kids each time they were born. The pattern is that those who got licked a lot grew up and didn't do it as much.
